Setting up a site to site connection between two Azure virtual networks

Category: Azure

We recently had the requirement to connect a few virtual networks in Azure. We knew this was possible, but had not completed this task before. After completing the task what we found out was that all the virtual network configuration could be completed through the management portal, but the last step of setting the same shared key for both networks could only be done via Powershell. The command was:

Set-AzureVNetGatewayKey -VNetName VNet2 -LocalNetworkSiteName VNet1 -SharedKey A1b2C3d4
